ANOTHER COOKIE BOOTH SALE AT THE TRAIN STATION!
Since we have cookies left over we will try to sell them this Wednesday (April 10th) after school at the Rahway Train Station. We will set up our table at 4:00 p.m. Anyone registered with our troop is encouraged to come and help! Call Mrs. Hansen on Wednesday to make sure we're set up. If we run out of cookies we will close up the booth early.

This looks like a great opportunity to get out and have some fun while learning about our environment! Our scout Cassandra has entered a few photos into the wildlife photography contest. ANNOUNCING SIX FLAGS GIRL SCOUTS DAY(S) - SAT, APRIL 27 OR SUN, APRIL 28
Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore offer Girl Scout Day at Six Flags Great Adventure. We will not be making the trip as a troop for several reasons but we can collaborate and meet there for lunch and adventures together. Below is the registration and ticket purchase form which provides full details about the event. The cost is $50 per person (for season pass holders, $18) which includes admission to the park, a buffet lunch, a free limited edition patch and a "play again" ticket which can be used up until July 28, 2013.

Don't sell door-to-door unless you have an adult with you (someone you trust 18 years old or older). When you ring the doorbell or knock and no one answers then leave this flyer in the door or in the mailbox. Last year we made a similar flyer and sold a lot of boxes this way! Door-to-door selling is a good way to get to know your neighborhood and your city. Just remember... no matter where you sell you are responsible for delivery, too!

Let's get our research started! Everyone in Troop 41197 needs to read about the Republic of Ireland! We need to find a song, dance or game we can teach to others! We need to find recipes for interesting foods from Ireland we can share with others. We need to LEARN! We are sewing shamrock pins for swaps to hand out so... DO IT! Nut sale ends Friday, October 19th! All nut & candy order forms, online order reports, monies, magazine order forms and magazine subscription postcard booklets are due to Mrs. Hansen no later than Saturday, October 20th! Top seller gets a cake served and a song sung in her honor at Sunday night's meeting!

Nuts/Candy/Magazines! Start selling Saturday, Sept. 29. Must be a registered GS and sign permission slip before selling. Fill out postcard booklet with addresses--troop earns $3 for each COMPLETED booklet! Troop earns $1 for every nut item sold and $1.50 per mag subscription. Online activity, sending 12 sales e-mails out to friends and family, earns you a patch (must turn in detailed order report obtained online after e-mails are sent). Address booklet earns you a patch. Selling 3 or more mags earns you a patch and selling 12 or more nut/candy items earns you a patch. Five or more gift of caring orders earns another patch. When registering online AS A NEW MEMBER you cannot indicate which troop you're joining so please let us know as soon as you register so we can notify the council office registrar -- she will then assign you to our troop. If you prefer not to register online, you can download a paper membership form (girl and adult forms can be found on our forms page) and submit it to the troop leader with a check for $24 made out to Troop 41197.
